WWE News: Monday Night RAW Numbers Drop; Wyatt And Dallas' Absence On RAW Attributed To Ill Grandfather

The numbers for this week's episode of Monday Night RAW have dramatically dropped.

The show's January 25th episode, which aired a day after the 2016 Royal Rumble, featured the return of The Rock. Quite expectedly, the numbers during the said show skyrocketed, garnering 4 million viewers during the first hour alone.

A previous report by Geno Mrosko for Cageside Seats also claims that it was the first time the show averaged more than 4 million viewers for the entire three hours since June 2015.

A specific breakdown of the numbers indicate that RAW garnered 4.14 million viewers during the first hour, 4.18 million viewers in during the second hour, and 3.97 million viewers in the third hour.

The February 1st episode, however, was a different story, despite Brock Lesnar and Dean Ambrose's show opener. Lesnar ended the segment with his signature F5 move.

According to Mrosko's report for the said show, RAW's first hour garnered 3.59 million viewers, 3.46 million viewers for the second hour, and 3.09 million viewers for the third hour.

Meanwhile, tag team partners Bray Wyatt and Bo Dallas did not appear on RAW last Monday after their grandfather, World Wrestling Entertainment legend Robert "Blackjack Mulligan" Windham was recently hospitalized.

According to a report by Sean Rueter for Cageside Seats, Wyatt and Dallas immediately left that night's taping in Birmingham, Alabama and flew to Florida to join Windham, whose condition is believed to have worsened.

In another report by Mike Johnson for PWInsider, the 73-year-old Windham has been battling poor health over the last few years. He suffered a heart attack in 2015, and his condition had been attributed to a diving accident he suffered some years back.

Mulligan began his career in the 1960's, wrestling for various promotions, before his late run with the WWE in the 1980's. In 2006, Mulligan, along with his tag team partner "Blackjack" Lanza, were inducted into the WWE Hall-of-Fame by their manager Bobby Heenan.
