WWE Rumors 2017: Will the Hardy Boyz Return at WrestleMania 33?

The match between Lesnar and Goldberg is expected to be the main event of WrestleMania 33, but one of the matches on the card may end up stealing the show.

The World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has announced that the triple-threat match for the Raw tag team championship belts is now a ladder match. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson will defend their titles against Cesaro and Sheamus, and Enzo Amore and Big Cass. However, a familiar duo may drop by and take part in the match as well to make things more interesting.

According to Billi Bhatti of Sportskeeda.com, brothers Matt and Jeff Hardy are going to be a late addition to the match and they may even take the belts away from Gallows and Anderson.

"Sources informed us weeks ago that there was an idea pitched for The Hardy Boyz to win the Raw Tag Championships at WrestleMania in a Ladder Match, and if we saw any ladders being used on the road to WrestleMania by the advertised competitors, then it meant the Hardyz pitch was being booked," Bhatti said in his article.

Well, ladders were indeed used in this week's episode of Raw and Sheamus needed fifteen stitches to close the wound caused by a ladder.

Of course, The Hardy Boyz may end up making their return on the Raw episode following WrestleMania, but Bhatti thinks that they will definitely appear in WrestleMania 33.

"The Hardy Boyz returning home to WWE and capturing the Raw WWE Tag Team Championships in a Ladder Match would certainly be a sure-fire 'WrestleMania moment,'" he said.

He does have a solid point. In a Twitter post, the WWE also hinted that the Hardys are coming back and they are bringing their "broken" gimmicks with them to the promotion.

The Hardys' deal with Ring of Honor (ROH) will reportedly end on April 1.
