WWE 'TLC 2017' Rumors: Can The Shield Defeat A 5-Person Opponent

The highly-anticipated WWE RAW's Tables, Ladders, and Chairs (TLC) event is about to unravel this weekend.

According to reports, the WWE TLC 2017 will feature the reunion of The Shield after Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins confirmed that they will be competing for the first time as a group since 2014.

Sportskeeda revealed that The Shield will be up against Braun Strowman, Kane, Sheamus, Cesaro, and The Miz in the TLC handicap match. This means that there will be no disqualifications that will be called during the event. This will allow the trio to take advantage of a lot of possibilities that could help them win the matches.

CBS Sports' Brian Campbell and Adam Silverstein, on the other hand, claimed that The Shield could possibly be on a losing end of their match against the other wrestlers. According to Campbell, the odds of The Shield winning against five highly-skilled opponents is very unlikely.

"Because of that fact, and the overwhelming 5-on-3 odds against the babyface, in this case, expect this match to have a schmoz finish, building the road toward Survivor Series," the journalist stated.

On the other hand, Silverstein predicted that Strowman could possibly have a very clear victory over Ambrose.

"It does feel like WWE is setting up for something massive in the main event considering how poor the card is overall, but I don't think it will result in The Shield getting over," he stated.

Both predictions claimed that The Miz's team will win over The Shield on the upcoming match.

For the Women's Championship, predictions claimed that Alexa Bliss will defeat Mickie James in the upcoming WWE TLC 2017 matches. This means that she will retain her championship belt despite the string build-up for James.

The WWE TLC will be held at the Target Center in Minneapolis, MN on Sunday, Oct. 22, at 8 p.m. EDT.
