Xbox Live Free Games With Gold October 2015 List: Metal Gear Solid V Ground Heroes Included in Releases

With October's arrival just a few days away, the lineup for free games on Xbox Live Gold subscribers has been revealed.

An Xbox Live Gold subscription allows a player to get the game on online, and it also means the player will get free games every month of the year. With a need to dish out about $60 per year, the games received for free are worth way, way more than the said amount.

What's more amazing is the fact that Golders are allowed to redeem their freebies either on Xbox.com or Xbox 360 even if the players don't own an Xbox One yet. After the games are redeemed, players who decide to get an Xbox One in the future will then discover that the games are still on their accounts and can be downloaded for free.

According to Entertainment Cheat Sheet, Gold subscribers will get "Valiant Hearts: The Great War" at no cost this coming month.

The original price is $14.99 and is available from October 1-31. The game features the lives of four ordinary people whose lives are affected by war going on in their towns. Among the things that players will indulge in are performing surgery as a medic and digging trenches as a soldier.

Another game for free is Telltale's redefinition of its 2012 game. "The Walking Dead: Season One and 400 Days" is a game that entails perilous decisions, unexpected storyline twists, and a new presentation of real action. It has garnered a metacritic score of 92 percent and is originally priced at $24.44, but is now free for Gold subscribers starting October 16 to November 15.

For players who enjoy stealth action games, there's "Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Heroes, which is originally tagged at $19.99 but is free starting October 1 to 15.

Finally, there's "The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season" which is seen by some gaming new outlets as a "double-dip" from Microsoft. While its coming for free is deemed by some as a total cheat by Microsoft, it is still a good catch since it sports memorable characters and plot twists. The game is available from October 16 to 31.
