Xbox One Headsets Compatible With Xbox 360 Models

Recent reports indicate that Xbox 360 headsets will be compatible with the Xbox One so users who enjoy their old hardware will not have to shell out cash to pay for a new one.

All an Xbox owner would have to do is purchase an adapter to hook the 360 model to their One controller.

A Twitter user by the name of @TheMVPPlaya asked Xbox executive Albert Penello, "Any news on an adapter for current gen hi-end gaming headsets to work on the Xbox One?" to which he replied, "Yes. We will have an adapter that allows current gaming headsets to work."

The Xbox One priced their Chat Headset at $24.99 for launch day, according to new online reports.

The console will not be packaged with the gaming headset despite Microsoft taking major efforts to show off its capabilities at E3.

An official statement from Microsoft said:

"Xbox One does not include a pack-in headset accessory. Each Xbox One includes the new Kinect sensor, with a highly sensitive multi-array microphones designed to enable voice inputs and chat as a system-level capability, both in-game and with Skype and other experiences. For gamers who prefer a headset, we have a variety of offerings that you can find on the Xbox Wire."

The console's headset is reportedly able to filter out television noise along with picking up even the quietest commands from around the room.

Gamers without a headset will be able to have online chats through the Kinect feature and its microphone.

Arstechnica reports similar third party headsets could charge around $200.

Microsoft also unveiled the price of the new remote at $59.99 with the Play and Charge Kit priced at $74.99, according to CNET.

The controller will boast over 40 new alterations as Microsoft strived to make the perfect controller with optimum performance.
