Xbox One News: Fall Update Released; Everything to Know

The gaming community is enjoying one of the most exciting years so far. Gaming giants have been busy, and many have succeeded in grabbing the attention of the fans through exemplary game titles and jaw-dropping consoles.

Considering how Microsoft's Xbox One X release is just a few weeks away, it seems that the tech giant does not want the fans of the older console feel left out. Recent reports have revealed that they have released the Xbox One Fall Update 2017, which is loaded with features and exciting new treats.

"It's been a busy and exciting summer for everyone at Team Xbox... As gamers, we like to play and watch content the way we want, with the people we want," said Xbox's corporate vice president Mike Ybarra, in a statement. "With this update, our fans asked for more personalization options and we've put more control in their hands. It's been an incredible journey for the entire team at Xbox as we worked to bring you this update. Thanks as always to our fans and Xbox Insiders for the valuable feedback."

The Xbox One Fall Update features several things. The Home tab has had a major overhaul as it now features a way for users to have more pinned apps and games. Furthermore, it can now be customizable into three aesthetic options: dark, light, and high-contrast. There will also be blocks that gamers can use to access apps, people, and games that they use the most.

Furthermore, the Guide tab now showcases increased accessibility and navigation. Meanwhile, the notification system was also optimized to allow users to identify time-sensitive notifications that will trigger an alert even when the Xbox One is idle.

The Xbox One Fall Update is now available for download. Moreover, the highly anticipated Xbox One X is scheduled to be launched on Nov. 7.
