Zuckerberg's Status Married; Who Is Dr. Priscilla Chan?

Facebook founder Mark Elliot Zuckerberg married his college sweetheart Priscilla Chan in a surprised wedding on Saturday, and along with questions about a prenuptial agreement many people are wondering just who exactly is the billionaire's new bride?

Chan, a 2007 Harvard graduate and doctor, describes herself as a "simple creature," on her personal Facebook page.

"Loves cooking and soft things. I like the food network, warm places, sun dried tomatoes and diet a&w," Chan writes in the "About Me" section of her Facebook page.

Chan met Zuckerberg, 28, at Harvard when she was a freshman and he a sophomore, and the pair dated for nine years before tying the knot in a surprise ceremony.

"He was this nerdy guy who was just a little bit out there," Chan previously told The New Yorker magazine.

After graduating from Harvard, Chan moved to San Jose, California to pursue her work as a fourth and fifth grade science teacher at The Harker School for a year before moving on to pursue her career as a pediatrician with graduate studies at the University of California-San Francisco.

Following her recent graduation from USCF, Chan disguised her and Zuckerberg's wedding as a graduation party to her unsuspecting wedding guests, according to Mail Online.

The couple invited approximately 100 guests and surprised them with the unexpected wedding ceremony before shocking their Facebook subscribers after both changing their relationship status to "married."

In order to keep romance alive after almost a decade together Chan demands "one date night a week, along with a hundred minutes of alone time, not in his apartment, and definitely not at Facebook," Chan said.

Zuckerberg is believed to have been inspired by Chan after hearing about her sick patients over dinner, which led to the new organ donation aspect of Facebook, according to ABC News.

It is unclear whether the couple signed a prenuptial agreement prior to their wedding.
