Dylan Noble Shooting Video Release: Watch Teenager Killed After Ignoring Orders From Cops; Was He Armed?

Investigation for Dylan Noble's Case

The footage from the body cameras of Fresno policemen involved in the fatal shooting of 19-year-old Dylan Noble last June 25 has been released raising questions if there was a need to shoot and kill the teenage.

Initially, the incident began with a traffic stop which accelerated to a high-risk stop when Dylan failed to pull over. The video manifested the repeated failure of Noble to comply with the commands of the cops to stop and get on the ground which eventually cost him his life.

According to The Guardian, authorities discovered that Dylan was not carrying any weapon on his body nor were there any firearms inside his truck. His father said the policemen were just "trigger-happy" when they dealt with his son.

Days after, there were protests from local residents on the said incident. This prompted Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer to address the local residents and request for a non-violent protest. He called for unity rather than violence before a planned protest downtown Fresno last Wednesday night.

Dyer expressed his condolences to the family of Noble and he reassured the family that he will be processing the incident according to what is right and just as far as the case at hand is concerned. Also, he ensured that the investigation will not be influenced by the public, Fresno Police, or the Union that represents all police officers in the department. With the body – cam videos available for review of the incident, they expect a more reliable source for coming up with a fair judgement.

Police officers trained to respond

He also mentioned that officers are trained properly on how to assess situation at hand after every shot made and on the immediate perceived threat present in the situation.

Indeed, Dylan's death is considered as a tragedy. Everybody wished for that incident to have been avoided completely. With all this information at hand, both parties are definitely seeking for justifications and explanations for all actions committed.

It is Dyer's intention to provide a non-biased investigation working together with Internal Affairs team and Fresno County District Attorney's Office. All findings during investigation are intended to be available to the public.

Hoping for peaceful process

Since the investigation is still ongoing, activists and protesters are allowed just as long as these protests will not trigger or provoke emotions and create a scenario that will endanger themselves and local officers.

Amidst all these, after a recent ambush killing of 5 Dallas Police Officers by Micah Johnson, Dyer called for calm and reasonable actions and reactions from citizens and officers alike and allow peaceful process to prevail during these trying times.
