A source told Page Six that the stars and crew of the Showtime's hit political thriller television series are all aware that there is an explosive off-screen jealousy between Patinkin and Abraham. The source revealed that the show's production assistants act like "kindergarten teachers" when the two actors are on their New York set.

According to the insider, there is so much tension between the two actors that they do not speak to each other when cameras are not rolling. The source added that Abraham already made it known to the production assistants not to place his chair near Patinkin's.

The source also claimed that Abraham got some attitude problems when on set. The 76-year-old actor allegedly acts like an "egomaniac" who have more demands than the show's real star.

In Good Terms

Both Showtime and Fox 21 spokespersons denied the existence of any backstage drama between Patinkin and Abraham. Johnnie Planco, Abraham's manager, also told Page Six that there is no truth to the rumored bad blood between the two actors. He said that the two "Homeland" stars have been friends for decades and Abraham only has good words for the 63-year-old actor.

Moreover, recent sightings of Patinkin and Abraham suggested that the two actors are not at war. Variety reported that the stars attended the "Homeland" panel at the recently concluded PaleyFest 2016. They joined lead actress Claire Danes (Carrie Mathison), director Lesli Linka Glatter and co-creator Alex Gansa.

Abraham and Patinkin exchanged pleasantries at the event. Abraham said that he loves "filthy" jokes and Patinkin has tried to convince him to come up with a joke book.

What will Happen to Saul & Dar in "Homeland" Season 6?

Patinkin and Abraham revealed some details on what to expect from their characters in the upcoming Season 6 of "Homeland". Per Vulture, Saul and Dar will be tasked to orient the new president-elect on all matters of national security.

Abraham hinted that conflicts will arise as Saul and Dar work together. He added that his character will have a different stand when it comes to dealing with the national security crises.

Moreover, Patinkin disclosed that Saul will continue to believe in Carrie's ability even if she already shunned the CIA. He hinted that the upcoming season will see his character trying to bring back Carrie to the CIA.

The Season 6 of "Homeland" will return to Showtime on Jan. 15, 2017.
