The promo for the episode shows mother and daughter arguing. Rayna thinks that Maddie is too young to start her singing career and does not want the media glare on her. Obviously the impetuous Maddie does not understand this.

The previous episodes of Season 4 of "Nashville" took viewers on an emotional ride. First, it was Jeff's death. Poor Jeff fell off the roof top trying to save the depressed and drunk Juliette from jumping off. In the end, it was Jeff who plunged to his death and this was all witnessed by Luke's underage son, Colt, who had drunk liquor and had come out to get some air and sober up. When Colt tells his father Luke about it, Luke does not believe it.

There is more trouble for Juliette as the media chases her for a live interview as she flees the hotel. She is able to escape but in order to save her skin, she tells reporters that Jeff committed suicide.

The next episode had Layla feeling shocked and devastated. The police hound her and, to add to all this, Jeff's sister bars her from the funeral. Rayna helps Layla through Luke's jet and she comes to Nashville.

Meanwhile, Scarlett's tour will be ruined by the presence of Erin, Gunnar's girlfriend.
