'X-Men: Apocalypse' Spoilers, Cast Rumors: Evan Peters Opens Up on Quicksilver

When initially cast, many comic book fans were skeptic about Evan Peters taking on the role of the young Quicksilver in the second installment of "X-Men: Days of Future Past."

Despite naysayers, Evan proved them wrong, as during the rescue for Magneto, he gave a performance that became one of the most entertaining parts of the film. After the movie, many have complained that his part in the film was simply too small.

When it was announced that Evan will be reprising his role as Quicksilver in the new "X-Men: Apocalypse," many wondered about what's in store for his character.

Evan spoke with Details about it and shared a few interesting information, as he goes, "The story is that my character is searching for his father and wants to find him. It starts there and then he jumps on the X-Men train and gets sucked up in this whole Apocalypse madness: He tries to stop him from destroying the world."

It is also a well-known fact among comic book fans that Quicksilver is the son of Magneto, and it seems that it may be revealed soon.

Apocalypse is going to be one of the strongest foes that the X-Men team will be facing. He is an ancient mutant god who is unpleased with how the modern world has come about and so he recruits mutants to help him "cleanse" it by bringing in total destruction so he can start a new one according to his will.

One of the powerful mutants that will be on his side is none other than Magneto. Due to this, many assumed that the film will be quite riveting and Evan is one of the reasons why fans should certainly look forward to watching the film.

When asked if "Apocalypse" would be one of the greatest movies of all time, Evan goes on to respond with, "Absolutely. It's the biggest X-Men film. It's about the apocalypse, so the scope of the film is huge."
