Amazon's Kindle Fire Set to Take on Apple's iPad?

Can the fire from Amazon’s new Kindle tablet singe the pages of Apple’s iPad? Well, with the price tag, it certainly is able to, since the Kindle Fire Tablet computer sports a more than reasonable $199 price tag while Apple continues to stay in the $500 range with its iPad 2.

Another bonus for Amazon is that this low price for the Fire comes without a two-year agreement or any other deceiving gimmick attached to it.

But aside from price, the Fire pales in comparison to Apple’s leading tablet when it comes to capabilities.

The iPad and iPhone are not a big success based on raw power, but rather work as portals to Apple’s universe including iTunes which is arguably the most popular place to purchase media digitally.

Amazon possesses the same type of potential since its website is a widely popular hub for purchasing movies and music.

The company can even compete with Apple by undercutting it with prices for media.

Amazon’s massive cloud based network, combined with the Fire’s Android app store could pack a one-two punch that delivers a significant blow to Apple’s world.

Amazon is also using its own version of Android OS which the company created and made easier to use than any other version of the software currently available.

The company’s aim is to create a tablet ideal for entertainment and solidify its own place in the Apple dominated market.
