Boston Bruins vs Chicago Blackhawks takes place in the Stanley Cup 2013 Final Game 1 on Wednesday night, with both sides desperate to get their noses in front early on in the series. The game will start at 8 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream (details below).
Many hockey fans are excited about this year's final; it is an Original Six matchup for the first time in 34 years, and also is a match up between two extremely exciting teams – meaning the series should be a fantastic one even for the neutrals.
Boston have fought tooth and nail to get here tonight; their fans will remember how they were three goals down in the third period of Game 7 in the first round. Likewise Chicago fought back from three games to one down in the second round to sneak through.
Since those wobbles both teams have improved immensely and they are both playing some of the best hockey their fans have seen all season.
The Bruins have now won nine of their past 10 games, and the Blackhawks have won seven of their last eight. But something will have to give way tonight and it will be exciting to see which team comes out on top.
The Blackhawks perhaps have a bit more pressure on them to win tonight, to take advantage of their home advantage. If the Bruins can win tonight in Chicago then it would immediately put massive pressure on the Blackhawks for Game 2, as well as through Games 3 and 4 when they travel to Boston.
These are probably the two most balanced teams in the league through the season; both with extremely tight defensive units, and both with enough fire-power up front to trouble any other team.
There's not much between the teams and most pundits are split on who will come out on top to take the title.
Boston Bruins vs Chicago Blackhawks is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday and can be watched online through live stream (Game 1 has ended - Info on how to watch Game 3 can be seen by clicking here).
