Chris Brown may be feeling the pressure of jail, where he was recently sent to await the outcome of a Washington D.C. assault case.

Brown, the 24-year-old singer-songwriter, is reportedly venting about his jail experience, according to alleged TMZ sources.

"One source -- who recently spoke with Brown on the phone -- tells us, Chris says he feels like 'a caged animal,' calling it 'the worst experience of my life,'" TMZ recently reported.

While the publication says Brown is spending his time writing music and working out, he is also allegedly telling people that he will never mess up again. The singer is serving his time in solitary confinement to protect him from the general population in the facility, according to E!.

Brown is being held in jail until an assault case that he was charged with in Washington D.C. is resolved. The charge stems from the singer being accused of breaking the nose of Parker Isaac Adams, 20, who allegedly attempted to sneak into a photograph that Brown was taking with two women last year, according to E! News reports.

However, Brown's attorney Mark Gerago, is trying to get the 24-year-old singer off the hook by trying to get Adams to accept a financial settlement in a civil case, according to TMZ. The publication is reporting that Adams could receive several hundred thousand dollars if he could drop charges against Brown, according to TMZ.

If accepted, the deal could take place in a matter of days which may shorten Brown's jail time. After being booted from his second rehab in nine months, Brown was told to stay in jail until April 23, when it will be determined if allegations of a Washington D.C. assault will violate his probation.

If Adams does not drop charges against the singer, Brown would have violated the probation that he was given after assaulting ex-girlfriend and singer Rihanna in 2009 which could result in longer jail sentence.
