Deion Sanders' Daughter Outraged At Step-Mom's Divorce Claims, Son is Praying

Deion Sanders’ children have publicly reacted to the news of his divorce from Pilar, one with anger and the other with prayer.

Deiondra Sanders, Deion’s 19-year-old daughter with his first wife, took to Twitter recently in an attempt to express anger concerning Pilar’s alleged surprise at the divorce announcement. Pilar’s lawyer, Larry Friedman, reportedly told TMZ that she found out about Deion filing the papers after reading the website.

"(She was) heartbroken and surprised when [she] read ... that Deion announced his decision, on his own, to end their marriage," Friedman told TMZ. “Pilar's sole focus and top priority for the last 12.5 years has been her marriage and children. Based on recent discoveries, [Pilar] now realizes that Deion did not view their family the same way."

However, Deiondra was vocal about disagreeing with Pilar. She began the Twitter rant on Wednesday with an apology to her father.

"First and foremost I would like to apologize for what is about to happen. My dad is going to be very upset at me for he always takes the higher route," Deiondra tweeted. "With that being said SORRY DADDY."

Deion’s daughter explained her reasoning for speaking negatively about Pilar on Twitter.

“Now my dad has been nothing but great to Pilar. Her, nor her mom have worked in over 11 years," she tweeted. "Normally I just sit back and watch all her lies and mess but it's to where she's getting personal. She is trying to slander my Daddy's name. #Stopit."

Deiondra then attempted to start trending topics challenging Pilar’s claim that she did not know about the divorce, her stepmother’s claim to make her family a priority when she allegedly did not allow the children with different mothers to interact, and alleging that Pilar had stepped outside of her marriage.

“She stays trying to slander my daddy’s name, the same name that made her famous," Deiondra said.

However, her brother Deion Jr. took a different approach to the situation.

“I apologize for what my sister DeiondraSanders is saying. Me and my dad choose the high route,” Deion Jr. tweeted. “We will definitely keep Ms. Pilar in our prayers. Once again I tweet it, let go and let God!"

Deion senior also took to his Twitter account, and made a comment about the situation.

“Pray for my daughter and stepmother. Prime been shot at more than Clint Eastwood,” Deion wrote. “I'm still highstepping.”
