Far Cry 4 Season Pass Available on Nov. 18 Alongside Game Release

Ubisoft's "Far Cry 4" is scheduled to be released on Nov. 18 for the Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and on the Windows PC. It is a direct sequel to "Far Cry 3" and is the fourth main installment in the "Far Cry" series.

Ubisoft has announced on their official blog that they will also be releasing a Season Pass, to be released on the same day as the game itself and will cost around $29.99. The Pass is to grant the buyer an exclusive access to a day-one mission called "The Syringe." A multiplayer mode called "Overrun" will also be included in the Pass and is to have a gameplay similar to the "Take and Hold" gamemode.

Also included in the Season Pass are four more additional side missions as well as the inclusion of Yetis in the game.

The Season Pass will be included in the Far Cry 4 Gold Edition at a discounted price but won't be available for the Xbox 360. Pre-ordering the Gold Edition now will also grant a Season Pass. Purchasing the Season Pass will save players a total of 20-percent off compared to buying the DLCs (Downloadable Content) individually.

The other four missions included in the Season Pass aside from "The Syringe" are "Escape from Durgesh Prison," "Hurk Deluxe Pack," "Overrun," and "Valley of the Yetis."

Also, creative director Alex Hutchinson has confirmed that the game's multiplayer mode will not be locked ehind a paywall.

"Just so it's clear: Multiplayer is for everyone who buys FC4, no need to buy anything else. There is an extra mode in DLC," he said.

The statement was made after an initial confusion that a multiplayer mode was going to be made exlcusive with the Season Pass. Fans had misinterpreted that those who bought the Season Pass would be the only ones to get multiplayer.
