'Fast and Furious 8' News: No Appearance By Brian O'Conner in Upcoming Movie

Paul Walker's presence was felt all throughout "Fast and Furious 7," thanks to the huge contribution of computer-generated imagery (CGI). However, it seems fans will finally understand Brian O'Conner's disappearance in the eighth installment.

In an exclusive interview with Variety last month, NBC Universal vice chairman Ron Meyer explained that "Fast 7" was "painfully" completed without Walker but with the help of his family who agreed to include the late actor in the film through CGI and his brother, Cody, who stepped up to the plate.

This time, though, Meyer and the entire team fully understand that it will be more difficult to have Walker reprise his role in the eighth movie. So, production has decided to have "FF8" without the actor's character.

On the other hand, Meyer said that fans shouldn't worry since the movie will still represent Walker one way or another. "Paul won't be in it, but he'll be represented in some form or another but whether his image is in it, I can't tell you yet, but he won't be in the film as a performer, or as an actor, the way we did it last time," he explained.

Ever since the actor passed away, fans have been wondering how the studio will bring life to Brian O'Conner or if Walker will be replaced by another actor to somehow recreate the character. With Meyer's explanations, it only means that fans should start letting go of their favorite character and welcome other new actors and actresses who will probably try to fill in the gap Walker has left.

The new cast members are still kept under wraps, but the rumored celebrities who are expected to join the "Fast" team include Helen Mirren and Deepika Padukone. Both actresses were Vin Diesel's costars in his recent movies.

The eighth movie has no title yet and there are not too many details on the plot but it has a tentative release date of April 15, 2017.
