'For Honor' Unlimited Steel Hoax: YouTube Tutorial Video Claims Unlimited Steel Glitch

Ubisoft's new fighting game "For Honor" has garnered more attention in recent days, not only for its addictive gameplay, but also for an alleged glitch in the system that could allow players to earn unlimited steel if done the right way.

Steel is the in-game currency which can be used for many purposes, including buying new outfits for the character, booster up experience, and more. Steel can be earned from winning battles and completing missions, or by paying for it with real money through microtransactions.

However, for players who want convenience but don't have the extra money to spare, gaming strategies called exploits can be their best bet at earning an unlimited amount of steel. YouTube user Sir Meme has just shared a tutorial video on how to do this.

Mic gives a quick synopsis of the steps that a player needs to do in order to take advantage of the supposed glitch, which requires some effort on the player's part. The first step is to start a duel against an AI opponent and win. Then, once the victory screen begins its transition into the subsequent rewards screen, disconnect from the internet. Since the game requires internet connection work properly, an error message will appear. Once it does, the player should then reconnect and start another duel with the same settings as the previous one.

By doing this over and over, the player will earn an increasing amount of steel each time: 80 in the first match, 160 in the second, and so on.

This glitch does not require a Daily Order or a Contract Order in order to work. It is, however, very important that the player invests in Champion Status, which starts at 2,000 steel for three days.

Mic does, however, note that this process seems tedious and may well be patched out of the game soon. So it's still a better choice to just play the game properly and earn one's steel the right way.
