The Galaxy S4 Active functions as a water and dust proof version of the original Samsung flagship. The device is IP67 certified and is able to capture photos and videos underwater.

Specifications on the Galaxy S4 Active include a 1.9GHz quad-core processor, 2,600mAh battery, a 5-inch Full HD TFT LCD screen (443 ppi) and a new feature called "Glove Touch" that allows users to operate the handset's touchscreen while wearing a glove.

The Active model also comes with an 8-megapixel camera that can be used underwater with another new feature known as Aqua Mode. This can be used to increase the visual quality and clarity for enhanced underwater images and video. It turns the volume key into a camera key, which allows users to easily and quickly open the camera application to capture photo and video the moment it happens.

The Galaxy S4 Active will come in different color options including Urban Grey and Dive Blue. AT&T customers could pre-order the device starting June 14 and purchase it fully on the June 21 for $199 with a new two-year contract.
