'House of Cards' Season 3 Release Date, News: New Season Set to Be Last for Netflix Series?

For those who have faithfully waited for the third season of the hit political drama series "House of Cards" can now start counting the days as Netflix recently announced that the show's brand new chapter will be released "in its entirety" this Feb. 27,2015.

With the filming which took place between June 12 and Dec. 20, 2014, a lot of fans have been wondering what to expect when the popular web TV series starts to stream.

Actor Kevin Spacey, who played the main character Frank Underwood and won yet another Golden Globe Award for it, recently shared some bits of information with The National.

"Well, I can reveal that there will be many scenes and some of those scenes will take place in The White House. There's your headline right there," Spacey revealed.

As for his character, the 55-year-old star shared that he would love to suit up as the government high official as long as it takes.

"As long as they want to keep doing it and I'm having great a time doing it. We'll just continue to tell the story as long as we feel there's a story worth telling," he said.

Perhaps that could only last until this season.

A report from Den of Geek indicated that this season could be the last of the award-winning series. The publication speculated that "there's nowhere left to go but down" for Underwood as he had already made his way to the Oval Office.

"Frank might end up in the underworld. Which is to say, instead of just losing power, he may end up dead," the site said.

The site explained that they based their assumption from the British show to which HoC was modeled after. In the BBC mini-series of the same name, Francis Urqharts (the Brit equivalent of Underwood) was assassinated by his wife.

But that might not be the case for the U.S. version. Mozhan Marno, who plays the journalist character Ayla Sayyad, told Entertainment Weekly that the ending of Season 3 "will be even more surprising" than what fans might expect.
