Kim Kardashian Divorce: Kris Humphries Gives Up on Kim

Kris Humphries fought to win Kim Kardashian back until very end, with rumors of him even refusing to initially sign the court papers to make it official – today he conceded.

A source close to Kris told People Magazine, "He will be signing the papers."

Humphries was seen arriving at LaGuardia airport yesterday after laying low with friends and family in Minnesota according to Mail Online.

When Kim filed for divorce in October, Kris told reporters he was "blindsided" by the information and he wanted to save his marriage.

"I'm committed to this marriage and everything this covenant represents," he said. "I love my wife and am devastated to learn she filed for divorce. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make it work," he said to TMZ.

Kris hired celebrity lawyer Lee Hutton to handle the divorce.

Many sports stars use the lawyer from Minnesota, but he usually does not deal with divorce. Sources tell TMZ it should not be a problem because the divorce’s terms are simple.

As reported last week by TMZ, there are no conflicts between the pair because of the prenuptial agreement.

The divorce will legally be completed in six months as required by the law.

Kim's lawyer, Laura Wasser, negotiated the prenuptial agreement and filed the divorce papers for Kim.

"Our office did indeed negotiate and prepare a prenup for Ms. Kardashian. Given what I know regarding that document, it is not plausible that this marriage was a sham," Wasser said to TMZ.

She told the gossip site that many of the negotiations dealt with financial issues "that go well into the future" with complications that didn't make sense for a short-term marriage.

"Why on earth would they [Kim, Kris and their lawyers] create a document which looks far into the future if they planned a marriage that would only last a few months," sources close to Kim told TMZ.

The prenup was reportedly 30 pages long containing everything from tax returns to exhibits, and other financial documents.
