Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes have reportedly ridiculed his ex-wife Brandi Glanville on social networking site Instagram following claims that the couple is plotting to sue her over a new tell-all book.

The couple, who admittedly had an affair while they were still married to other people, appear to be taking shots of alcohol in a newly released photo alongside the photo caption "Drinking and Instagramming, what? My new book title." Glanville's upcoming book is entitled "Drinking and Tweeting: And Other Brandi Blunders," and it reveals details about Rimes and Cibrian's infamous affair, according to Us Magazine.

The Instagram account allegedly belonging to Cibrian, who shares two children with Glanville, was removed shortly after the post triggered backlash. Shortly after its removal Rimes, 30, denied that Cibrian, 41, has an Instagram account, but she did not address whether or not he was responsible for the post.

"Eddie doesn't have an Instagram nor tweet so there," Rimes tweeted Feb. 7.

The incident follows reports that Cibrian, who went on to marry Rimes after the affair scandal, is preparing to sue Glanville, 40, over her explosive tell-all.

"Eddie pretty much plans on suing when the book comes out," Glanville told Us magazine about the book, which is due for release on Feb. 13.

Rimes, who was married at the time of the 2009 affair to dancer-turned-chef Dean Sheremet, met Cibrian, who was married to Glanville, on the set of the 2009 film "Northern Lights." In one excerpt obtained by Life & Style magazine, Glanville details how she began to discover their affair.

"LeAnn had 'accidentally' smeared some cake frosting on her top ... and asked my husband, not realizing that I was standing behind the both of them, if he wanted lick it off her," Glanville wrote in the excerpt.

"This woman asked my husband if he wanted to eat the frosting mess she'd dropped on [her]? … He hadn't realized I was there, either, and he laughed with hungry eyes at the suggestion," she added.
