Lindsay Lohan will appear on "Glee," the hit musical performance show. In 2012 bid, the actress has been attempting to revive her career, which had languished since 2007, after which she had numerous run-ins with the law.

Lindsay Lohan's "Glee" appearance is in the final discussion stages with Fox, according to TVLine.com. The star will most likely play a guest appearance on the show as a judge for Nationals, during the on-screen chorus group's ascent to vocal victory.

Lindsay Lohan will play none other than Lindsay Lohan, according to TVLine. Although the rest of the panel for "Glee" cast members potential on-screen triumph have not been announced, some rumors have mentioned both Josh Groban and 1980s singer Olivia Newton-John.

The choice to pick Lohan to guest star- despite the hit show's former ridicule of her mother- is part of a bigger push to get Lindsay back into the limelight following her many troubles with the law.

Dina Lohan, Lindsay's mother, had previously complained that the show "targeted everyone, from gays to lesbians, Asians, [and the disabled]," but now, she could thank the show for helping the 25-year-old actress get back on her feet.

Lohan had been the subject of several DUI charges, found in possession of small amounts of cocaine, admitted to rehab several times, sentenced to serve jail time various times- most cases, spending few actual hours imprisoned due to overcrowding- and given probation.

Now, though, Lohan she's "grown" amid reports that she has been following her probation rules dutifully.

"Yes, I'm good and I'm clean and sober now," she told Matt Lauer on a "Today" show interview. "I … have a lot of great people in my life that are in the same position so I can always turn to them and I've had great people that I've can talk to at any time and that have helped me kind of figure myself out."

Her growth has shown in her career as well, with the "Parent Trap" actress hosting "Saturday Night Live" and preparing to play the role of Elizabeth Taylor in a Lifetime biopic.
