New 'Heroes of the Storm' Patch Adds Kharazim from 'Diablo III'

Blizzard just released the new patch for "Heroes of the Storm" and it has added Kharazim from "Diablo III," as well as other new features.

The new patch for Blizzard Entertainment's multiplayer battle arena online video game, "Heroes of the Storm" is now available, and players will notice a new addition of Kharazim, the Monk character from another of Blizzard's RPGs, "Diablo III."

Kharazim, a healer from "Diablo III," will be available when the game starts, complete with customizable traits players can tweak to give him a more offensive bent.

"Diablo III" players will also be given the option to get Kharazim for free when they log on to "Heroes of the Storm" within the next three weeks following the August 18 patch launch. They'll also be eligible for the new Malthael's Phantom when they reach level 70 using a Season 4 character in "Diablo III's" upcoming season.

"Heroes of the Storm" patch notes incorporates new balance and design tweaks, new difficulty settings for AI, and changes to the game's Ranked Play. It also introduces Dynamic Bundles to the game's shop for which players can get discounts if they already have some of the content.

The patch won't include the next "Heroes of the Storm" game map, however. While the "Infernal Shrines" map was launched for public beta together with the newly-released patch last week, the map won't be available immediately but will be released at some point in the future.

The anticipated "Internal Shrines" presents a "Diablo" themed three-lane map where players can eliminate other enemy players nearby as well as take down a number of computer-controlled bosses.

In its patch notes, Blizzard has announced a new Battleground will be coming to the patch next week. The game's designer, Matt Cooper also included additional insights on the changes that come with the patch, particularly for design, heroes, talents, and battlegrounds.
