Gwyneth Paltrow has said she was left "humiliated" after she wore a revealing gown to the "Iron Man 3" premiere just days ago.
Speaking to Ellen DeGeneres, the actress discussed the sheer panel ensemble that she wore to Wednesday's premiere in Hollywood. She admitted, "Oh, I kind of had a disaster. I was doing a show and I changed there and I went I couldn't wear underwear. I don't think I can tell this story on TV."
"Let's just say everyone went scrambling for a razor…So I went from being the most beautiful to the most humiliated. In one day," she joked, referring to People magazine crowning her the "World's Most Beautiful Woman" just days earlier.
DeGeneres replied, "Oi, I really have some questions now. You certainly don't take care of yourself. I mean it was just the side of your leg. What is going on with you?"
Later in the interview, Paltrow spoke about the award she was recently given by People magazine: "My publicist of like 22 years, Stephen Huvane, sent me an email. And honestly I was like, 'This is a joke.' I reread it three times. I was like, 'Oh, he sent this to the wrong client. Like, there's no way'."
"My name wasn't on it….I was like, 'Oh, this is not for me and it was actually psychologically interesting because for a minute I really thought that someone was playing a joke on me. I talked about it with my shrink," the 40-year-old actress continued.
Paltrow's new film, "Iron Man 3," opens in theaters on May 3, 2013 and brings Robert Downey Jr.'s rendition of playboy Tony Stark, who becomes the armored super hero known as Iron Man, back to the big screen for the first time since his appearance in "The Avengers" film.
Judging from the trailer, Stark's personal life and world gets shaken up quite a bit by a new enemy whose mission is to eliminate the hero.
Iron Man 3 will feature a different director from the original two, as Shane Black will replace Jon Favreau, who is scheduled to make an appearance in the film.
The original Iron Man was released in May 2008 and grossed about $585 million. The sequel came out in April of 2010 and made around $623 million.
