Porsha Stewart Returns Wedding Ring, Accepts Marriage is 'Over'?

Porsha Stewart has reportedly returned her wedding ring to her estranged husband Kordell weeks after the former NFL star filed for divorce.

The "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star was rumored to be holding out for a possible reconciliation, but a new report claims the reality TV star has comes to terms with her divorce. The pair has been married for less than two years and does not share any children.

"The ring is off. She's finally come to terms with the fact that it's over. She and Kordell are done. When he filed for divorce, she found out about it online. So she kept her wedding ring on out of shock at first, then in hopes they could still work it out," a source close to Porsha told Wetpaint.

"But she's finally realized Kordell is not the man she thought he was. The way he's handled this entire situation— both personally and in the press— has horrified her. She thinks he's a dog," the source continued. "The ring is off. Porsha's ready for her next chapter."

On April 1 Stewart, 31, stepped out for the first time since Kordell's divorce filing, making a red carpet appearance at a Bravo network event. Kordell, 40, reportedly left her blindsided when he abruptly filed for divorce on March 22.

"This is a very difficult time for myself and my family. I'm just trying to remain strong. That's all I can do and stay prayerful and lean on my friends and family," Stewart told Us magazine about her divorce.

"When you have strong arms and strong family around you, they cover you– that's what they're there for. So that's who I'm leaning on," she added.

Stewart, who is a granddaughter of civil rights leader Hosea Williams, has reportedly requested spousal support from Kordell along with exclusive use of the family's Atlanta home. He is said to be opposed to the idea.

"[She's] an able-bodied person, earning income and is capable of supporting herself," Kordell reportedly told TMZ with regards to not paying Stewart alimony.

A representative for Stewart previously revealed that the former video model is "disappointed" with Kordell's divorce filing.

"Mrs. Stewart is disappointed about her husband's recent filing for divorce. Mrs. Stewart had held off on filing for a divorce herself and remained committed to the marriage because Mr. Stewart promised to work on the marriage with her," Porsha's representative told Yahoo.

"Instead, he misled her and she found out about the filing in the media. Mrs. Stewart hopes to resolve these personal issues privately with the support of her family, friends and strong faith," the representative added.
