Meanwhile, Toronto FC are fourth in the East and are level on points with the New England Revolution.
Seattle have won two of their last three league matches but have not impressed as they have only three wins in their last 12 matches in the MLS.
Fortunately for the Sounders, they recently had a 2-1 win over the Portland Timbers at home and facing Toronto, they will try to win back-to-back in front of their fans.
In the win over Portland, Obafemi Martins opened the scoring in the sixth minute before Brad Evans' penalty before half time gave them the 2-0 cushion. Portland got one goal back but were unable to score a second goal as all the points went to the hosts.
On the other hand, Toronto have won their last two league games. They recently beat Orlando City and Montreal Impact at home.
More impressive was their win over the Florida club, where four players scored in the 5-0 domination over Orlando.
Marco Delgado opened the scoring in the first minute of the second half before Sebastian Giovinco,Justin Morrow and Jose Altidore put the finishing touches in the game.
Altidore's brace should help him in their match against Seattle as they try to repeat the result in their last match back in 2014 where Toronto won away from home with a 2-1 scoreline.
As for Seattle, they will try to get back on track at the expense of a league rival.
