"Star Trek Online" sixth anniversary event

In addition to daily giveaways, Perfect World Entertainment has announced a special anniversary event that will give "Star Trek Online" players even more rewards, including upgrade kits, episode rewards, and a new Tier 6 Krenim Science Vessel.

To receive these rewards, players need to meet Q at the Earth Space Dock and First City for a series of in-game missions and events, including the new episode "Time and Tide."

The anniversary event will run from Jan. 28 to Feb. 24.

"Star Trek Online" sixth anniversary featured episode "Time and Tide"

As mentioned, "Time and Tide" is the new episode that's part of the "Star Trek Online" sixth anniversary event. In this episode, players will travel to the 28th century for the signing of the Temporal Accords, where a "dangerous new enemy" needs to be faced with the aid of Captain Ben Walker of the U.S.S. Pastak.

"Time and Tide" will be available starting Jan. 28 to Level 10 and up players. They will be the first to take on this new mission for a limited time. Afterward, the episode will be included in players' normal mission journal progression.

Omega Particle minigame

Perfect World Entertainment is bringing back the Omega Particle minigame. In this minigame, Q will task players to stabilize Omega Particles in three social zones in the game.

All players who complete the minigame will be rewarded, but those who score more will get better-quality Omega particle remnants. These can be used to craft special Omega Upgrade Kits.

Players also get to earn vouchers for playing the minigame. They can use 1,000 vouchers to get the new Tier 6 Krenim Science Vessel during the Anniversary Event period.

"Star Trek Online" is a free game for Windows PC and Mac.
