'Stranger Things' Season 2 Plot Rumors: David Harbour Teases 'Bigger' and 'Exciting' New Season
Fans of "Stranger Things" are going to be in for a wild ride come the second season, if actor David Harbour has anything to say about it. Harbour, who plays Hawkins police chief Jim Hopper, recently described season 2 as "bigger" and "exciting."
Speaking to Bustle at the Writers Guild Awards, Harbour was reluctant to give anything away, but he did offer up a teaser of sorts.
"I can just say that it's bigger, and yet it still maintains that same intimacy of story," he said. "And it's really exciting. Like, I didn't think we'd be able to top Season 1, and when I read the first script of Season 2, I was like, wow — we got an opportunity here."

Describing his character's storyline this season, Harbour told TVGuide that it will be "rich" and "compelling." Jim Hopper has been through a lot and the events during season 1 may have definitely affected him in one way or another.
The first season of "Stranger Things" was critically acclaimed and served as the debut platform for many breakout stars, including Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven. Season 1 ended with her character disappearing into the Upside Down. And while there was some initial speculation that she would not return, it has been made clear that Eleven will be back.
In addition to all the familiar faces, a slew of new names have also signed on for the new season. Sadie Sink and Dacre Montgomery will be respectively playing Max and Billy--the former of whom will find herself in the middle of a love triangle with Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) and Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo).
Paul Reiser has also been tapped to play Dr. Owens, a character the actor himself has described as being in the grey area when it comes to morality. Owens is the new head honcho of the lab where the portal to the Upside Down is located.
"Stranger Things" season 2 will premiere on Halloween on Netflix.
