Supermodel Gisele Bundchen Retiring, Sao Paulo to Be Her Last Runway Show

Supermodel Gisele Bundchen recently announced that she's retiring from the runway after having spent more than 20 years of her life on her modeling career.

The 34-year-old style icon will do her one last final runway next month for Colcci during the Sao Paulo Fashion Week in Brazil before keeping her towering heels for good, Brazilian news outlet Estadao said.

Although the Sao Paulo fashion event will be her last catwalk gig, the wife of New England Patriots' QB Tom Brady will still model and appear in ads endorsing top of the line products like that of Chanel, David Yurman, and Under Armor, particularly for their "I Will What I Want" campaign.

The news of Gisele's runway retirement comes just a few weeks following Victoria's Secret Angel Karlie Kloss announcing her retirement, SMNWeekly indicated.

The Brazilian native has been named one of the world's highest paid supermodel by Forbes. In 2013, she raked over $47 million in earnings.

Considered by her peers like Claudia Schiffer and Naomi Campbell as the "only remaining true supermodel," Bundchen was thought to have pioneered the "horse walk," a stomping movement wherein a model is seen picking her knees up high and quickly kicks her feet out in front.

By 2009, the United Nations Environment Programme named the mother-of-two as the Goodwill Ambassador. She is also a supporter for a number of charities including Save the Children, the Red Cross, and Doctors Without Borders.
