'The Big Bang Theory' Premiere Live Stream, CBS TV Start Time, Spoilers: Things to Know Before Premiere Date

After months of grueling contract negotiations, CBS' widely-popular sitcom "The Big Bang Theory" returns this Monday with two new episodes for its brand new season 8 – "The Locomotion Interruption" to be followed by "The Junior Professor Solution." With an array of spoilers, rumors, and sneak peeks, we rounded up a number of things that fans would likely want to know about before the show hits on air.

First, there's Penny's new pixie haircut. In an exclusive behind the scenes video from "The Big Bang Theory" YouTube channel, the cast members shared some insights on what they did during the hiatus in which Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting (Penny) revealed that she talked with the producers of the idea of cutting her hair shorter and "they (the producers) were great about it."

Of course, there have been a lot of talks about Penny's new career as pharmaceutical representative, which will unbalance her relationship with Leonard (Johnny Galecki) as she's "going to start making some money," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"She's going to find some confidence and self-esteem, which acting does not provide in great heaping doses," she said.

Jim Parsons' Sheldon leaving Pasadena is also in the rumor mills but was confirmed that it didn't actually worked. Showrunner Steven Molaro shed some light about the issue.

"He's gone for 45 days, and it doesn't end as well as he'd like with him having all of his belongs stolen while he was asleep in the sleeper car," Molaro explained.

Meanwhile, spoilers suggest that the "lovable nerd" will take up a teaching job in which Simon Helberg's Howard will be one of his students.

Molaro also spoke about Kunal Nayyar's Raj relationship with the dermatologist Emily (Laura Spencer).

"They are still in the honeymoon of that," he said. "And as we get through the season, we will explore more of her personality and what she's really like."

And of course, fans will also expect the beloved comic book store to return. Though still not confirmed on what part of season 8, Molaro said, there "will be a comic book store in the future. The show will not go on without a comic book store, I promise you."

Season 8 of "The Big Bang Theory" will premiere on Sept. 22 at 8 p.m. on CBS, and will be followed by its next episode on the same date next week. The premiere can be watched on CBS or online through live stream by clicking here.
