'The Man in the High Castle' Season 2 Spoilers: Production Getting Underway this Spring

Fans of Amazon's "The Man in the High Castle" now have something to look forward to, since it was confirmed that the production for the second season is starting soon.

According to Post-Gazette's Community Voices, filming for "The Man in the High Castle" season 2 will soon start this spring, and the series' sophomore run is scheduled to premiere this fall. The website said that the renewal came late last year, so everything needs to be thoroughly prepared. "'TMITHC' was only renewed late last year so there needs to be time to write and film new episodes," Rob Owen, writer from Post-Gazette said. "My understanding is production on season two starts in the spring and likely will debut in the fall," he shares.

The show is based on Philip K. Dick's 1962 novel of the same title, and it tells about an alternate story of the world's history, if it was Japan or Germany that won in World War II. The first season revolves around Japan and Germany's ruling in America, and according to Inquistr, the second season will extend further to show what's happening to the rest of the world.

The show's executive producer, Frank Spotnitz, is set to come back in season 2, and he told the website what their plans are for the upcoming season of "The Man in the High Castle." "There are glimpses of what's going on with the rest of the planet in the first season," Spotnitz said. "There are so many issues to explore and it is science fiction so the reason to tell the story is to reflect back on the world we live in right now," he added.

If, in case, the show really takes it farther than the boundaries of the United States, this should make fans excited to see what the rest of the world looks like in this alternate history, once the second season of "The Man in the High Castle" premiers this fall.
