'The Young and The Restless Spoilers,' News: Shemar Moore Returns as Malcolm Winter, 'Family Ties' Meredith Baxter Joins Cast

Recent news about the long-running daytime soap opera in CBS "The Young and the Restless" revealed the return of "Criminal Minds" Shemar Moore to his Y&R character Malcolm Winters.

First appearing in 2005, Moore will reprise his role for two episodes on Sept. 10, according to Unreality TV. In the report, they cited the actor's interview with TV Guide to which he described the return as both "wonderful and scary."

"It was the same set, same furniture, same parking spot, same bad coffee — and a whole new, crazy way of working. Y&R moves so much faster now than it did back in my day."

He also disclosed that he was shocked upon his return when he was handed a 42 pages of dialogue which he needed to shoot within six hours.

"Seriously, 42 pages!" the 44-year-old star said. "It takes Criminal Minds seven days to film that much material! It was very flattering to be invited back — Y&R will always be my home — but, man, those people worked me."

Moore even went further to share some information on what fans has to expect.

"They're still going head to head like in the old days, trying to fight through those demons that have always kept them at odds," he said. "Malcolm is always seeking his brother's respect. He just wants that big brotherly hug, but Neil doesn't trust him because of their history. Still, deep down, there's a lot of love there."

Meanwhile, other news pointed out that Meredith Baxter form "Family Ties" will join the Y&R cast to which she will play a character by the name of Maureen. In the report by Celeb Dirty Laundry, Baxter's new character will be "a trouble maker" and Nikki Newman's (Melody Thomas Scott) partner in crime.

"The Young and the Restless' is aired on CBS weekdays at 12:30 p.m.
