Tim Tebow has posed for the Jockey “Sport” underwear collection, and is currently featuring on the company’s website. The photo shows Tebow in the shadows with a headline saying, “Playoffs. It's Tebow Time.”
The image of Tebow is the first thing viewers can see when they visit the Jockey website.
Tebow appeals to men and women, says Dustin Cohn, chief marketing officer of Jockey. He has also been described as a “lightning rod” for sales for the brand.
"It’s very exciting for us. He is the hottest athlete in the country today. He's trending among elite celebrity status," Cohn says, according to USA Today.
In particular, Cohn says that the company has definitely seen Tebow attracting female consumers to the more male-oriented Jockey brand. Just a few months back the company showed a commercial featuring Tebow.
Thanks to Tebow the company’s “Staycool” underwear range has become the fastest selling collection in Jockey’s history; which was first established 135 years ago. Furthermore, since Tebow joined Jockey as an endorser in the summer of 2010 the company’s Facebook page has attracted 2,000 percent more fans.
