'Timeless' Season 2 Spoilers: Emma to Reach Out to Flynn?
Emma (Annie Wersching) may still reach out to her former partner and explain her side in the next installment of "Timeless."
Last season, Flynn (Goran Višnjić) had a major shock when it was revealed that Emma was part of Rittenhouse. It became clear that his partner had been setting him up so her group would have no trouble capturing him when the time was right. As expected, Emma planned the whole thing brilliantly and Flynn had no way of knowing he was being betrayed until the last minute.
Executive producer Shawn Ryan previously hinted that they had a lot in store for Emma in season 2.

"We will definitely owe some answers and explanations for this in Season 2, but once again, it was always our plan that she was secretly Rittenhouse and she was hiding out in the 1880s for Rittenhouse reasons that we will need to explain. We'll see what stories we want to tell and how available our actress is to be on the show!" the EP teased via Deadline.
Flynn will likely be itching to get his revenge on Emma. He trusted her and she ended up deceiving him. In the event that she decides to talk to Flynn, he will likely go in for the kill without waiting for her explanation. The new installment is shaping up to be centering on the criminal's dark side once again. Although he is expected to team up with Team Time in order to get the time machine from Rittenhouse, spoilers indicate that he will end up betraying the group as well.
Wyatt (Matt Lanter) must always be on his guard, as Flynn has a bone to pick with Lucy (Abigail Spencer). Flynn believes that she had something to do with his abduction, considering that her mother is part of Rittenhouse. Carol (Susanna Thompson) finally told her daughter the secret that their family has been keeping. For years, the Prestons have served as a foundation for the mysterious group, and it is now Lucy's time to take the lead.
NBC has not yet released any update on "Timeless" season 2 but the show is expected to return in 2018.
