Xbox One Price Drop Doubles System's Sales from May to June

Sales for the Xbox One doubled from May to June thanks to a price drop implemented by Microsoft.

Microsoft made a decision to separate the Kinect device from the console in May, and in doing so slashed the price on the unbundled model to $399 from $499. This made the cost more comparable to its greatest competitor the PS4.

The plan appears to have worked as Microsoft is reporting that sales doubled from May to June.
