Kate Gosselin and Jon Gosselin News: Custody Battle Brewing for Former Couple?

Jon Gosselin is reportedly gearing up for a legal battle against ex-wife Kate Gosselin over custody of their eight children.

Since divorcing in 2009, Kate has maintained primary custody of twins Cara and Mady, 17, and 13-year-old sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Joel and Leah. Because the children live with Kate, Jon is not able to spend that much time with them. Moreover, Kate is reportedly in control when it comes to decisions involving the Gosselin brood.

"Jon has zero say when it comes to parenting decisions — Kate makes all of those herself, and that's exactly how she likes it. The more time goes on, the more Jon feels disconnected from his kids, which is super sad," a source told HollywoodLife.com.

In preparation for this potential face-off in court, Jon is reportedly doing everything he can in order to win the next custody battle.

"He's totally overhauled his like, he's even back working a regular job again," according to the former reality star's friend.

Since "Jon & Kate Plus 8" ended in 2009, Jon has had a series of jobs including a solar panel installer, waiter, DJ and stripper. This time around, he has reportedly chosen a more stable career as an I.T. administrator.

Reports of Jon seeking more custody of his kids comes just a week after Kate received criticism for a photo she posted on Instagram.

In the photo, Aaden, Alexus, Hannah, Leah and Joel are seen in their Halloween costumes and on their way to go trick-or-treating. Notably absent was their brother Collin, who is currently living away from home. In 2016, Kate revealed that Collin was enrolled in a program that would better address his "special needs."

Fans were not pleased as it seemed that Collin had once again been excluded from family festivities. They also expressed their opinion that Collin should be at home with his family despite having "behavioral problems."

Jon was said to have been heartbroken upon seeing the picture.
