Apollo Nida Talks Sincere Apology to Brandon After Brutal Fight

Apollo Nida, "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" television personality, is opening up about his heartfelt apology to Brandon DeShazer, the friend of the show's star Kenya Moore, who he got into an altercation with.

Nida, the husband of the Bravo TV show's high-powered attorney Phaedra Parks, was a topic of discussion during season six of the series after he injured DeShazer in a physical altercation. Now, Nida is detailing his account of what happened, and insists that editing made things seem different than they actually were.

The fitness guru told Sister 2 Sister magazine that he was merely trying to stop DeShazer from fighting fellow husband on the show, Peter Thomas. After trying to restrain DeShazer, Nida was punched in the eye before fans witnessed what happened next.

"Yeah, no one saw that part..At that point, I lost it because I'm the type of person, you don't put your hands on me, period," Nida told S2S Magazine. "So whatever happened, I'm not proud of it because it was definitely bad and it took me somewhere that I haven't been in a long time."

However, Nida insists that he took time to apologize to genuinely DeShazer.

"I apologized to Brandon. I talked to Brandon for, like, an hour," Nida told the publication. "He seemed cool. I really sincerely apologized to him."

He previously appeared on the Bethenny talk show earlier this year where he and some other husbands from the Bravo series spoke about the difficulty of becoming a personality on the reality television show.

"I think so coming from prison, doing six years in prison and then being thrown into a TV show was kind of difficult and I think for the first time coming off I was very quiet and kind of shy, it was just a difficult transition for me," Nida previously admitted.
