Assassin's Creed 5 Rumors, Latest News: 'Comet' Takes Place in North America on PS3 and Xbox 360

Recently two new Assassin's Creed games were announced with most of the prominence being focused on the first, "Unity," and now finally there is new information concerning the second game, "Comet."

While Unity is coming to Xbox One and PS4 and will take place during the French Revolution, Comet will be for the Xbox 360 and PS3.

Also, the French website GameBlog reported Comet will take place in North America and star a character named Shay. Shay is a sailor who betrays his captain while sailing on the Atlantic. According to this report, the game will also take the players to New York as well as various places on the east coast.

Important to note is that this information has not been confirmed by game developers Ubisoft, however, according to Kotaku, this news comes from a reputable source.

In other news, Assassin's Creed: Unity now has an official trailer and even hinted at a possible release date for the next-gen only consoles.

"Qu'ils mangent de la brioche [Let them eat cake]! We have been working on the new Assassin's Creed for more than three years and although we weren't quite ready to show you our full vision for a next-gen only AC, it seems Abstergo are trying to force our hand!" the videos trailer read. "So here's a true first look at in-game footage from Assassin's Creed Unity. Stay tuned - we'll have many more exciting details for you in the months ahead! Another Assassin's Creed game will also be coming by the end of the year with one of them with Unity set in Paris.

Polygon reported early screenshots suggest the game will be in Paris because of shots of the Notre-Dame Cathedral and the Seine River.
