A pizza box from Germany bearing what looks like the face of George Clooney has caused a stir online this week.
The box from Haslach, Germany features an apron-wearing chef with a scarf in his hair while making fire-roasted pizzas. In a strange twist, the face of the chef appears strikingly similar to famous movie star.
Clooney, 51, did in fact visit Germany just last month- dining at Berlin's Grill Royal restaurant, which lies 400 miles away from Haslach.
Regardless of the origins of the pizza box, Clooney and friends enjoyed themselves in Berlin. The actor reportedly picked up the tab of strangers who happened to be sitting nearby, according to People magazine.
According to comments from online readers, the Clooney-bearing pizza box from Germany was not the first to spark interest.
"Are you kidding me," started one reader on Jezebel.com. "I bought this same pizza box from a place in Val d'Isere, France (a skiing village) a couple of years ago and posted a photo to FB immediately. Thought it was the funniest thing ever."
Another commenter noted, "He does have a place in Italy… this checks out."
"ha ha these are also used on pizza boxes in Heidelberg, Germany," posted one reader, Gretta, on buzzfeed.com.
While the actor owns a lakeside villa in Italy's Lake Como, he is not linked to any pizza restaurants. However, Clooney does own his own tequila label.
Longtime friends and business partners, Clooney and the husband of supermodel Cindy Crawford, Rande Gerber, teamed up in making a special drink. The new tequila called Casamigos means "house of friends," according to E! News.
According to an insider, Clooney and Rande have been good friends "for about 20 years," according to Yahoo OMG!
"Those guys like to have a good time, they like to party, so they decided one night that they needed their own house tequila," explained the insider.
This year, Clooney will appear in both "Gravity" and "The Monuments Men," with "Tomorrowland" scheduled for released in 2014.
