LG G2 vs LG G3 Review: Specs, Price, Features Comparison

The LG G2 and the LG G3 are very close in comparison. But, which one is best suited for you?

Both smartphones are running on an Android OS. The LG G3 has the latest Lollipop update while the LG G2 is still awaiting for the Lollipop version. So far, the LG G2 has the Android version 4.4.2 and 4.2.2.

In terms of the dimensions, the LG G3 is bigger in size with 5.5. inches screen display while the LG G2 has 5.2 inches. There is very minimal differences when it comes to the screen size but the in the video quality, the LG G3 has the upper hand with 1440x2560 pixels capacity. On the other hand, the LG G2 still has a high resolution of 1080p.

If you are worried about the durability of the screen, the two smartphones have different contents. Even though they both have the Proximity sensor and the light sensor, the LG G3 has the Oleophobic coating while the LG G2 has a scratch-resistant glass.

The camera features are almost the same. The LG G2 and LG G3 have a 13 mp rear camera and a 2.1 front cam. However, the LG G2 has packed added features compared that the LG G3 does not have: Exposure compensation, White Balance presets, Digital zoom, Scenes, Self-Timer and Effects.

When it comes to the hardware, there are not much differences. Both have Qualcomm Snapdragon chips; Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 for LG G3 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 for the LG G2. They also have a 32 GB built-in storage. The battery life is also the same with 3000 mAh capacity. However, the LG G3 offers a built-in wireless charging.

These two smartphones were released almost one year apart. It depends on which one is better for your personal use but they are comparatively competitive with each other.
