'Pirates of the Caribbean 5' Plot News: Jack Sparrow's New Rival

The upcoming installment of the "Pirates of the Caribbean 5" franchise is expected to bring a new nemesis for Captain Jack Sparrow.

It was reported that Captain Salazer will be holding a grudge against Captain Jack Sparrow.The previous installment showed Sparrow responsible for the death of Captain Salazer's brother. With that, Captain Salazer is expected to come out of Devil's Triangle with his crew of ghost pirates.

According to Kpopstarz, the character is rumored to be played by Javier Bardem. It was reported that he will be seeking revenge on Jack Sparrow. He will need to acquire the trident of Poseidon and save his father, Davy Jones.

More new characters are expected to join the cast. It was reported that Will Turner's son, Henry, will be played by Brenton Thwaites. In addition, Kaya Scoledario will be taking on the role of Carina Smyth, the female lead of the film. She recently shared that the film will hopefully bring back the success of the franchise's first installment.

As reported by IGN, she explained, "[The producers] want to take it back to the beginning again. They wanted it to have this epic journey, and for it to make sense, and for it to tie things up, and also lead to new story lines."

The newcomer will be joined by a veteran on the franchise, Orlando Bloom. He also shared some details about his character in the upcoming film. He told IGN, "I am, of course, Davy Jones now! So, I am down the bottom of the ocean. It might be, kind of, fun to do something where I am rumbling round the bottom of the ocean because I will not look anything like me."

"Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" is expected to hit theaters by Jul. 7, 2017.
