A Samsung Galaxy S4 unlocked octa-core model is now available on Newegg.com at a price of $619.99.
The site began taking orders for this device recently that packs the Exynos 5 Octa-core processor that can only be found in the international version of the device as the U.S. model packs a quad-core Snapdragon 800.
The only difference between the two models in terms of specs is the processor. This octa-core version comes with the same 5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, 2GB RAM, a 13-megapixel camera, a 2-megapixel front shooter, 16GB of internal storage, a microSD slot, and a 2,600 mAh battery. It also comes running Android 4.2.2, JellyBean out of the box. This model will also be incompatible with LTE networks.
The Galaxy S4 price dropped down to just $29 on AT&T earlier this month for those entering into a new contract.
Customers can purchase a 16GB "like new" or refurbished model for that fire sale price. The deal is available to existing and new customers and they can choose between the Black Mist and White Frost models.
Certified "like new" devices from AT&T are usually just as good as buying the smartphone brand new. The handsets are serviced and pass an inspection. The carrier also offers a 90-day warranty on these refurbished models so if anything goes wrong they have enough time to exchange it. A brand new Galaxy S4 normally retails for $199 for those purchasing the device with a two-year contract.
Sprint began offering the smartphone for just $99 with a new two-year contract last month.
The carrier is selling the wildly popular smartphone for this price to subscribers who are adding a new line or new customers signing a 2-year agreement.
