Washington Wizards NBA Trade Rumors: Wizards Interested in Trading for Lou Williams and Bojan Bogdanovic to Bolster Bench

The Washington Wizards have been relatively silent in the trade market, but they are not going to sit idly by while the rest of the league while the trade window closes a few days from now. It's time for them to make a move.

Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical has reported that the Wizards are looking for a wing player that could help them off the bench and they have targeted Los Angeles Lakers guard Lou Williams and Brooklyn Nets guard/forward Bojan Bogdanović. He also revealed that the Wizards are willing to give up a future draft pick to strengthen their wing position.

"They see an opportunity here. This team has played really well. They struggled early, and now have been on a tremendous run. They want to capitalize on it. They want to get better. They're a dangerous team. A lot of teams in the East look at Washington and don't want to see them in the postseason," Wojnarowski said in his report.

Williams and Bogdanovic can be the offensive spark plugs off the bench the Wizards are looking for. Williams has proven time and again in his career that he can fill this role, and Bogdanovic is a solid shooter as well. Of course, each of them has their weaknesses, but they are still better than most of the players on the Wizards' second unit right now.

While Kelly Oubre Jr. and Trey Burke continued to develop, the Wizards may as well look for other options to improve the team. John Wall, Bradley Beal and Otto Porter have been logging heavy minutes the entire season because of the lack of offensive firepower off the bench, so this move should take a load off their shoulders.

Wall has confirmed that the Wizards would make a trade to improve their bench, so expect them to make a move in the next few days.
