'Gilmore Girls' Updates: Luke-Lorelai Marriage Will Have Its Ups and Downs

Luke (Scott Patterson) and Lorelai's (Lauren Graham) married life will not be a bed of roses in the potential second part of the "Gilmore Girls" sequel on Netflix.

Spoilers indicate that just like any married couple, Luke and Lorelai will face their own share of problems. It took a while for the two to finally get together after years of pining and lost chances. During the revival, Luke got the courage to propose to Lorelai, and she accepted, to the delight of their families and friends. One of the possible setbacks that the two would face is reportedly Christopher's (David Sutcliffe) part in Lorelai's life.

No matter how much Luke wants to erase the presence of Rory's (Alexis Bledel) father in their lives, this will prove to be impossible. After all, Christopher was Lorelai's first love and best friend. Although they did not end up together, both of them have acknowledged the fact that they would always love each other. In fact, Luke was jealous of his now wife's relationship with her ex. There have been instances where he felt that Lorelai has yet to move on from Christophe completely.

Although Netflix and creator Amy Sherman-Palladino have yet to confirm the second part of "A Year in the Life," many fans are hoping that there is more to the Gilmores' story. For the past year, they have been trying to keep the Gilmore spirit alive by attending "Gilmore Girls Fan Fests."

This fall, the three-day festival is scheduled for Oct. 20-22 in Kent. Keiko Agena, who played Lane, and Liz Torres, who played Miss Patty, are expected to be there. Marcus Whitaker, one of the event's organizers, said that this is for those fans who continue to love the show.

"Last year, we received an abundance of praise from everyone involved, from the fans to the cast, which made the decision to put on this year's festival easy for us," said Marcus Whitaker. "Jennie and I have learned a lot from our time in Connecticut and for us, anytime you can have fun while learning something new you've done the right thing."
