Republican National Convention 2016 – Video Highlights of Speakers' Full Speech: Rudy Giuliani and Melania Trump Head the Pack

To say that the first night of the Republican National Convention was colorful would be an understatement.

If the chaos that erupted in the Republican National Convention is a preview of things to come, it doesn't bode well with Donald Trump.

But then Trump promised that "the Convention in Cleveland will be amazing" with a little bit of "showbiz" thrown in. And that is what the people got. Personalities from Showbiz, Police, Politicians, Veterans, Survivors – a mix of different Americans spoke on making America Safe again.

Powerhouse on the first day

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani's rousing speech pumped up the delegates of the Republican National Convention. When his talk hit the spot, delegates stood on their feet. In a address about the recent events at Baton Rouge and Dallas, Giuliani thanked all the Security Officers who protected Americans of every race, creed and orientation – hammering in the fact they there should be a united America.

Another statement that earned Giuliani an ovation was when he said that "there is no Black America or white America but only America." The former Mayor also highlighted his similarities with Trump when it comes to the issue of safety and security - whatever success he achieved in New York, will be done by Trump for the whole of America.

"The greatest privilege on Planet Earth"

Donald Trump was scheduled to appear on stage on the third day of the Convention but everybody knows that nothing is predictable when it comes to Trump.

Walking up on stage with the Queen's hit single "We are the Champions" in the background, he presented the "next First Lady of the United States"; staying on stage for a few minutes and gave the limelight to his wife.

In what seems to be a bid to personalize and empathize on the issue of illegal immigration in the country, Melania Trump talked about her background and how she came to the United States; how she waited for years before she became a citizen and she came here legally. Her speech of falling in love and painting Trump as a good husband tried to present a softer and more human side of Trump.

Melania Trump - Plagiarism?

Several media outlets including CNN are reporting that Melania's address plagiarized on one of Michelle Obama's speech from 2008. Trump's campaign has responded by stating that the speech was not lifted from the currently first lady.

Blue lives matter

In light of the recent attacks against Police Officers, the RNC Day 1 saw Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clark, a known activist against Black Lives Matter, on stage. He opened his speech saying "Blue lives matter in America" and gave an update of acquittal of Baltimore Police Lt. Brian Rice.

Day 2 promises to be another exciting day as people expect to hear speakers talk about How to Make America Work Again.
