We The Kingdom won Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year for their song "Holy Water," as well as Contemporary Christian Artist of the Year.
The group, largely comprised of family members, shared their heart for writing songs that speak to audiences of all backgrounds.
“I think we have a mandate really to write songs that cover the full gamut of human emotion, a lot of times Christians will focus on the joy or contentment or whatever that might be,” band member Martin Cash told CP. “I think there’s a real beauty in digging into the real pain of life. Worship comes from that. We want to write songs that deal with all of that. To me, that’s hope, that’s the answer. You’re not alone in the middle of trauma. Our hope is to offer hope to those who are hurting.”
