What started off as a Kickstarter campaign culminated at CES 2017 with the XT Camera from Blink. Meant to be a home-security device, the Amazon Alex-enabled XT is a rugged, weatherproof camera with 1080p video, motion detection and infrared night vision. The best feature of the $119 device though, is its phenomenal battery life -- it lasts two years on just two AA batteries. Blink now has plans to diversify into devices offering total home security with wind and water sensors next in its product line.
