'Lead Me to the Cross' — Hillsong United

Hillsong United released this song in 2007, reminding listeners of what Jesus did for them and to surrender themselves to God's will.

The song opens with the lyrics, "Savior I come/ quiet my soul," which appears to be a reference to Psalm 131:2. The verse involves David, who confesses his humility before God when he states: "But I have calmed and quieted myself, I am like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child I am content." Other lyrics in the song include "lead me to your heart" and "bore my sin and death."

Conveyed through the song is the need for Christians to completely surrender to Jesus, who took the penalty for their sins and ultimately rose from the dead. The singer proclaims, "and now you're risen."

The song encourages people to let God lead them to the cross and submit to the Lord.
