1. Franklin Graham: 'Grateful to God the president is safe, no innocent people harmed’

Graham, president and CEO of Samaritan’s Purse and son of the late evangelist Billy Graham, said Saturday night he was among the 2,000 attendees at the WHCA dinner when shots were fired inside the Hilton.

"After three assassination attempts, some people say that President @realDonaldTrump is one lucky man. I don’t think luck has anything to do with it — I believe it is the hand of God. What do you think?" Graham wrote in a post on X Sunday afternoon.

Just after 10 p.m. ET Saturday, Graham shared an image from the table where he was seated as a guest of Newsmax President Chris Ruddy and Greta Van Susteren and her husband, John Coale.

"We are still learning details, but I am grateful to God that the president of the United States is safe and that no innocent people were harmed. It could have been much worse," he wrote on Instagram. "I’m tremendously thankful for our Secret Service and law enforcement. It was incredible to witness these highly trained experts spring into action to get President @realDonaldTrump, the first lady, and our nation’s leaders out quickly and efficiently."

"I thank God that America has such a great leader," he added. "Pray for our president."
